Avid gamer and video game archivist Frank Cifaldi has located the very first American Nintendo NES advert ever printed. The advert was featured in an issue of Consumer Electronics from 1984, a magazine that Frank purchased on Ebay for seven US dollars (a bargain, we think). As the advert shows, Nintendo hyped the actual reveal of the console that for ever changed the gaming industry by showing off the Pong and the Atari 2600 and citing an upcoming "evolution".

Cifaldi tweeted: "It took five years but I finally found it: the very first advertisement for what became the Nintendo Entertainment System, from late 1984!" Did you get a NES when it first released?
