We've been hearing rumours about Warner Bros. Montreal making a Suicide Squad game ever since they kind of teased it in Batman: Arkham Origins and Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate. It turns out the rumours might have been true, but we're not getting it after all.
Jason Schreier from Kotaku has heard that Warner Bros. decided to cancel the game when it failed to impress in recent greenlight meetings. He's also heard that it was supposed to be a co-op game, but not much else.
This might be disappointing, but this also appears to be good news for Batman fans. Schreier's sources claims that the Suicide Squad developers are now going to help the other part of the studio with the rumoured Batman game featuring Damian Wayne instead.
Is it a shame that we're not getting a Suicide Squad game in the near future, or should Warner Bros. focus on other DC characters?
