The full patch notes for Star Citizen's 2.6 update are available on Reddit now, with the patch currently release in alpha version and released on the PTU, and Star Marine fans will be pleased to know that this update allows you to play the game.

"Alpha Patch 2.6.0 has been released to the PTU, and is now available for players to test," the patch notes say. "This patch provides access to Star Marine - with two maps and two game modes to choose from, we hope you're all as excited as we are for this release! We also have four new flyable ships, four new variants of existing ships, new FPS combat mechanics such as cover, mantle and vault, major ship balance changes and so much more. Not to mention fixes and updates to existing content and (yes, there is more) Spectrum!"

In the notes for Star Marine, the notes reveal it will be available through Electronic Access and give two maps to play, called Station Demien and Echo Eleven. There are also two available game modes called Elimination, which is basically a free-for-all, and Last Stand, requiring Marines and Outlaws trying to control four access points. Grenades are also revealed to be a part of Star Marine, included in ammo crates.

Is Star Marine a good addition to Star Citizen?
