It shouldn't come as a shock that Super Mario Run looks like a huge success for Nintendo, and even though we don't know how much money they have made from it so far - the game has been downloaded a lot.
Apptopia reports that the game has been downloaded 2.85 million times during it's first 24 hours. As a comparison, Pokémon Go was downloaded 900,000 times during the same time frame when it was released (which wasn't world wide, however).
It should be noted that it also raced to the top of the top grossing charts in lots of countries, so presumably quite a few players paid the rather hefty lump sum to unlock the full game.
