According to rumours circulating online, German developer Crytek is currently very uncomfortable. The developer is said to have not been paying some employees for several months, while also being late on payments they have paid. The rumours have not been officially confirmed so far, we must stress, however.
Now a former Crytek employee has launched a crowdfunding campaign to collect at least 20,000 euros for legal and potential court costs because he wants to take legal action against his former employer.
VFX artist Ludvig Lindqvist has apparently worked according to his own data from March 2015 to December 2016 for Crytek in the Frankfurt studio, working on Robinson: The Journey and The Climb. Lindqvist presents his situation on the crowdfunding platform very believably, providing account statements of the late payments received.
Who knows what has gone on at Crytek, but this latest development doesn't seem positive.
