Did you download the new Xbox One system update yesterday? If you've been downloading anything after that you might have noticed that it went faster than usual. That's not a coincidence.
Microsoft has detailed what improvements came with the update, and the two most noteworthy ones were:
• Customers with high-speed connections (greater than 100Mbps) should experience up to 80% faster download speeds.
• Customers with connections less than 100Mbps should experience more consistent performance that is up to 40% faster than before.
The update also promises to stabilise background downloads in the face of intermittent connectivity issues.
