Bigben Interactive has acquired the Test Drive brand from Atari, and has announced its intention to develop new titles from the Test Drive Unlimited franchise. Atari, however, retains all rights to sell previously-released Test Drive titles.

"We are more than confident with respect to the quality of this franchise, which is loved by so many players," commented CEO of Bigben Interactive Alain Falc. "Our teams are very enthusiastic at the idea of being able to work on this license, which has already proven its worth - the game Test Drive Unlimited 2 sold 1.8 million units."

Bigben Interactive's catalogue now includes games such as WRC, Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter, and Outcast, among others. Is this a good acquisition for them?
