Square Enix has announced the return of the funny initiative Holiday Surprise Box that let players get a lot of games for cheaper than they would usually be, the risk being that nobody knows what's in the box.
Pre-orders are open on the Square Enix Online Store. Pay £4.99 before Monday December 19 at noon GMT and you'll get seven Steam codes to download these mystery games for PC. The company says that the real value is over £55, but won't reveal the contents of the digital box until next Tuesday. Distribution of the codes will start the very same day from noon, and they are delivered individually, so a single buyer can spread the content as gifts for other people.
Previous years, Holiday Surprise Box has contained games such as Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, Thief, Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn, The Last Remnant, Tomb Raider, Just Cause 2, and Hitman: Blood Money. Do you think it's worth the risk?
