Back in October we reported that there was a big list of third party supporters of the Nintendo Switch, and on that list was From Software. Now, a rumour has emerged online claiming the developer has Dark Souls III running on the console to a level they are satisfied with.
However, according to the same source, From Software aren't committing to releasing it despite these tests, but there have been discussions regarding the financial viability of re-releasing all three Dark Souls titles on Nintendo's consoles with all the DLC included.
Apparently a small team at From Software has been dedicated to making a Switch port for the third game, but the developer wants to see sales data before committing to ports. If the go ahead is given, though, the plan is to release the Switch version at the same time as PC, PS4, and Xbox One players are given a version with all DLC bundled in.
Given that From Software are on the aforementioned list of Switch supporters, this doesn't sound so far-fetched, although the re-release of all three games in the series seems unexpected. Would these titles sway your decision when considering whether or not to get a Switch?
