PlayStation 4 Pro was released a month ago, and so late next year it's time for Microsoft's competitor, Scorpio. We already know it will be powerful (6 teraflops of computing power compared to 1.31 in the original Xbox One and 4.2 in the PlayStation 4 Pro), but in an interview with Gaming Bolt, Bogdan Iliesiu from Angry Mob Games has given us an example to show exactly how big this difference is:
"Sure, it's usually easy to pump up the graphics, to take advantage of the extra processing power. If the games are designed for the Xbox One, they'll look great on Scorpio."
But if the game is made for Scorpio instead first and foremost, Iliesiu illustrates it like this:
"If it'll be the other way around, and the games will be pushed to the limits, to look amazing on the Scorpio first, it'll probably feel like playing on an old laptop, when playing that game on the Xbox One."
It remains to be seen how the developers actually use all the extra digital horse powers. Microsoft often pushes for 4K graphics, while other developers have expressed interest in greater detail and effects instead.
