But expect it to land on PS4 at some point in 2017.

With our collective attention firmly on the launch of Final Fantasy XV, we've not heard too much more about Final Fantasy VII Remake, but apparently the development of this hugely anticipated title is going rather well of late.

According to the rumours, it seems that the company is interested in celebrating the 30th anniversary of the franchise with some significant releases, and that's in addition to the much-desired episodic remake.

In fact, as reported by VGLeaks, the remakes of Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age and Final Fantasy XIII trilogy (which will include: Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Final Fantasy Lightning Returns) will be published next year, all in 1080p and running at 60fps, on PS4. There's also a rumour regarding a Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary Collection for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, which would include Final Fantasy I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII and IX.

Fast forward to 2018, and apparently there will also be a PC port of Final Fantasy VII Remake Episode 1, and Final Fantasy XV will head to the platform as well. As always in cases such as these, we suggest you take this news with a pinch of salt, but it would no doubt be an interesting way to celebrate such an important milestone for the famous fantasy RPG series.
