A few days ago, we reported that the analysts at SuperData had revised their particularly optimistic sales forecasts about PlayStation VR, saying that the device would sell 750,000 units by the end of the year, instead of 2.6 million originally predicted.

Recently, another analyst firm, 01 Consulting, analysed the situation of VR devices market, revealing, however, that PlayStation VR currently holds 30% market share, followed closely by Oculus Rift (11%) and HTC Vive (6%) - this analysis covered 40 different VR headsets developed by over 30 companies. As 01 Consulting have noticed, the good uptake of PlayStation VR are mainly related to an affordable price compared to its competititors and the large installed base of PlayStation 4.

Thanks, Venturebeat.
