The creative genius/madman Keita Takahashi, responsible for quirky games like Katamari Damacy and Noby Noby Boy is no longer emplayed by Namco Bandai.
Takahashi, has previously expressed his discontent with the current climate in the video games industry, and just last week he told the blog The Setup:
"I make video games for the so-so company Namco Bandai Games Inc. I am so inefficient I only made four games in 11 years."
Currently Takahashi is said to be designing a playground for a park in Nottingham of all places. It's safe to assume it won't look like any other playground in the world. Hopefully Takahashi can return to a video game industry ready for his ideas in the near future.
