It seems like Final Fantasy XV is off to a very good start, with more than five million units sold during the first day according to Square Enix. The number includes digital sales as well, so expect to find this game on top of the sales charts next week.
We are playing it right now and expect to deliver our review next week, but can already now reveal that we like it a lot so far. Final Fantasy XV had a very long development time (it was announced in 2006) and it's doubtful that even sales of five million is enough for a break even, but it will of course continue to sell for a long time and this is very good news for fans of the series and Square Enix.
Final Fantasy XV was released November 29 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. What do you think of it so far?
