Statistics from data service Steam Spy (via VG247) have revealed that over 4,000 games have been released for Steam this year, equating to 38% of all titles on the service.
The exact number stands at 4,207 at the time of writing, and Steam Spy posted a pie chart on Twitter breaking the numbers down, which we've included below. This reveals that 2,964 games were released in 2015, with 1,772 the year before. It's worth noting that this also doesn't include things like DLC.
Why do you think these numbers have increased so rapidly?
