Sega recently announced that if you still have a boxed copy of Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War knocking around, then they want you to be able to play it without having to pay out for it again. Granted, there may be very few of you out there, but if you are one of the lucky few it looks like it is a perfect time to get back into Relic Entertainment's seminal RTS.
Although the original Dawn of War came out way back in 2004 it is still widely regarded as one of the best in the series and as with most RTS games doesn't show its age too much.
To get your hands on this free key you need to head over to the Sega support site and fill in the forms there. You may have to prove you actually own a boxed version of the game with Sega saying in a Dawn of War forum post: "Please note that Sega may need to verify your boxed copies and this may involve them requesting photos of your box or other information, We thank you for your patience and hope to get you back in the WAAAGH as soon as possible."
Sega and developer Relic Entertainment are currently working on Dawn of War 3, which is set to release in 2017. Do you own an original copy?
