Star Wars is a huge franchise, and is built upon the ever expanding number of sequels, but that trend does not appear to involve the spin-off film, of which the first is the upcoming Rogue One.
Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy has confirmed to Empire that despite how well the film may end up performing in cinemas, there are no plans to develop sequels in the future. This makes sense, seeing as how the film is directly followed by the original A New Hope.
Rogue One opens in cinemas on December 16. Will you be watching it?
