Hitman's November update goes live today, and IO Interactive has said that it's "the first of a series of planned major game updates that will add new content and improvements to the game, both leading up to the physical disc release on January 31 2017 and beyond."
"We always set out to create a game with a major live component and over the course of the first season, we have established exactly that by releasing content each and every week on top of the major location releases. A December Update is also on the horizon, but first things first. Here are the release notes for our November Update, also known as 1.7.0, as per the in-game menu."
The update will drop today for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, coming in at 2.1GB, 2.4GB and 13.6GB respectively.
In terms of what the update does, all the patch notes can be seen here, but the highlights include the fact that all unlockable items are now saved to an offline profile as well as online, so you can use them when offline, as well as stability sweeps across many areas. Also, once an opportunity has been completed, you can now mark it with a checkmark as with missions.
In terms of display, the scoring screen now says "Silent Assassin" when a player completes a mission with the relevant rating, and the statistics page has also received a new visual design, showing challenge, mastery level, and overall completion. The pause menu is affected by the changes, too, and the background is changed to be the current in-game moment. The new IOI logo will be in the game too, as that has also changed.
IOI also announced they are planning a December update. "It will wrap up the year nicely and will be a great way for us to wish all of our players a happy holiday season. We'll have specifics to share as we get a little bit further into December."
The November schedule was also shared, giving fans an idea of the plans and what's coming, and there will be a new schedule in December. What do you think of the changes?
