The VR headset HTC Vive has sold over 140,000 units, according to an earnings call, with HTC's president of smartphones and connected devices Chialin Chang saying: "It's much more than that number. But I will not be able to give you a number, and I would encourage you guys not to refer to that number," when asked about a figure of 140,000 mentioned by analyst Richard Kramer.
When Chang also added: "We do sell per-unit Vive at a profit," Kramer asked whether HTC would disclose a sales number, to which Chang responded that it wasn't necessary because developers are "quite happy".
