Rainbow Six: Siege's DLC Operation Red Crow came out last week, and reports have emerged that PS4 players selecting Hibana were experiencing freezing in the middle of rounds. This didn't affect all players, though, and so others took advantage of these players freezing.
Ubisoft then removed Hibana as an operator in order to provide a temporary solution, but this caused another bug, meaning that players were prevented from moving past the end of Season rewards screen, crashing the game.
Ubisoft then reintroduced Hibana to the game, as detailed on a Reddit post, in order to prevent this worse bug from happening, saying: "Due to an unexpected issue, the addon that was preventing Hibana from being selected has been removed. While this addon was live, there was an error that was preventing players from progressing past the end of Season rewards popup. Attempting to click through this popup would result in the game client crashing."
"As mentioned in the previous communication, restoring the functionality of Hibana is our highest priority. We will continue to work on a solution, and will update you when we have more information available. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Edit: To clarify, the issues that result from picking Hibana have not yet been fixed. We recommend you do not pick her, but removing her prevented players from accessing the game, and had to be reversed."
As of right now Hibana remains bugged, so hopefully Ubisoft can fix this soon. Were you affected by either of these bugs?
