As confirmed earlier this autumn, Michel Ancel is working on Beyond Good & Evil 2, and the reason it has taken so long is that the former console generation simply couldn't handle the vision Ancel had for the game. In a recent interview with Le Monde (translated and presented on Neogaf) Ancel talked a little bit about the development, and according to him the game will not be done for a while. In fact, he estimates three to four years, but even then he can't guarantee anything.
He is also involved in the project Wild, and he's working on both games simultaneously - Beyond Good & Evil 2 in the morning, and Wild in the afternoon.
As a hint about what to expect, he mentions that Beyond Good & Evil 2 will focus on the "civilisation", conspiracy and the human aspect with surprising characters.
