Doom is loved by many as a franchise, and many have paid homage to it in one way or another, but one particular fan project has done some unique things to it. Fan project MiniDoom is a parody game that imagines Doom as a 2D platformer, and here's what the project's site has to say about it:
"MiniDoom is very short parody game based on the classic game Doom 1. We created it as part of a game programming course we gave over here to show how to make a simple platformer on GameMaker Studio. You can play MiniDoom below, over at Newgrounds of you can download it a bit further on this page! Enjoy!"
