Recently the famous Nintendo insider Laura Dale posted some interesting rumours on her blog about the Japanese company's new platform, Switch, officially unveiled a few weeks ago.

Today Dale has posted a new report on a project which involves Ubisoft and Nintendo, and its debut is scheduled at the release launch of the console next March.

According to her sources, the game would be a RPG crossover between Super Mario and Rabbids, one of the mascots of the French company. The idea behind the project would be that Rabbids are invading Mushroom Kingdom (hence the alleged title: Mario RPG: Invasion of the Rabbids), and Mario's mission is to drive them away. In what we learned, also among the enemies there will be a Rabbid-themed Bowser and Yoshi will play an important role in the battles. Although the game is in development at Ubisoft, Nintendo considers it as an internal project, and during the long-awaited conference scheduled for next January, the game will be one of the protagonists.

Is this crossover strange to you?
