Laura Dale has shared a lot of rumours about the Nintendo Switch lately, but her latest batch of speculation gives us some more information about the new Mario game we saw in the trailer.
She claims that the new Mario game will launch with the console in March and it will allegedly take a few pages from Mario 64 and Mario Galaxy as it'll feature a 3D open world hub where we can choose between different worlds, each with its own objectives to complete.
In terms of the multiplayer teased in the trailer, Dale says that it's a co-op mode where both players will work together to complete objectives. The players can't be too far apart from each other, but it's still possible to complete separate objectives. The mode also seems kind of competitive as a screen will show how much of the progress each player contributed to. The examples she uses is that it'll show how many red coins each player collected in a red coin stage. We'll apparently get to see this for ourselves as Nintendo will have a demo ready by in January, probably around the same time as their next Switch presentation.
It's also worth noting that she backs up the claims of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild not launching in March, not for Nintendo Switch nor Wii U.
Does this Mario game sound like a winner?
