Battlefield 1's fall update has recently been released, bringing with it a whole host of new content, however, it doesn't appear to have had a positive effect on PS4 Pro players, as many are reporting a decline in performance since the game was updated.
One user on Reddit said it was "soft, bland, and blurry compared to pre-update" and another on NeoGAF said "IQ seems slightly softer on Pro." On the Battlefield 1 forums one user also said: "Frames went from almost rock solid to noticeable dips and the res itself is now a lot softer."
Dice haven't responded to any of these issues nor said anything about them, so maybe this is a small minority. Then again, this could also be due to an NDA Dice have signed with Sony and Microsoft, if Dice engineer Julian Manolov's tweet is to be believed.
Reports claim that Battlefield 1 ran significantly better on a PlayStation 4 Pro compared to the normal PS4, and tests indicate the frame rate was 47% better prior to the patch, so this decline in quality must be all the more frustrating for those affected.
