In June we were told that Funcom's Conan Exiles wouldn't be released in Early Access this year after all, and now we know how they've used the extra time.
The Norwegian studio has given us thirteen new screenshots showcasing the graphical improvements, while also telling us about some recent changes.
Graphical fidelity isn't the only thing they've improved, but also the art direction. They definitely want players to take in the world, as they've now implemented points of interest.
Conan Exiles is a survival/action game so it has gotten quite a few new creatures, weapons, tools as well. These can be crafted in the newly implemented furnaces, tanning benches and similar crafting stations.
As the combat didn't feel as brutal and impactful as you'd expect of Conan they've also improved character animations and made a few other tweaks to make it better. This includes implementing the Thrall system that apparently works great.
Finally, the studio has localised it to support 11 languages: Brazilian, English, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
How do you think Conan Exiles will turn out?
