Six weeks ago Phil Spencer, the head of Xbox, said that he was confident that Skate 3 would make its way to Xbox One, but couldn't say when. Then everything went quiet, until yesterday when the Xbox 360 dashboard suddenly said: ""Now on Back Compat: Play Skate 3". The skateboard was pretty much out of the bag, and flew out of it shortly after.

Microsoft's Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb has announced that Skate 3 is backwards compatible on Xbox One right now. The inclusion of this highly requested game pretty much celebrates the one year anniversary of Xbox One's backward compatibility program, but it's Microsoft who's giving away presents. They've teamed up with EA to make the San Van Party Pack DLC free until November 20 in participating countries.

So there you have it. Skate 3 is finally backwards compatible. Now, for our next wish, EA: would you mind announcing Skate 4 as well?
