Christmas comes early this year for Playstation 3 users as Sony have announced that the long awaited beta of Home will kick off worldwide tomorrow, December 11.
If you have no idea what Home is (come out from under your rock!) - it is a 3D virtual world where users have socialize with others, enjoyed themed spaces, launch games and created and customise their own spaces - apartments. The first game to have a space in Home will be Far Cry 2 with spaces for games like Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Socom, and Motorstorm arriving shortly.
This piece of news is of course not complete without a quote from Kaz himself:
"PlayStation Home is truly a promising network community service on the PlayStation platform, made possible with the powerful combination of PS3's overwhelming computational power and PlayStation Network that covers many countries around the globe," said Kazuo Hirai, President and Group CEO, SCE. "We are committed to providing PS3 users with exciting gaming experiences with PlayStation Home and together with our partners and users, expand the new world of interactive entertainment as we move forward."
Starting tomorrow Home will be a part of your Xross Media Bar.
