The PS4 Pro is almost upon us, and we decided to compare the loading times of games on the PS4 and PS4 Pro, both with the original hard drives, and noticed some curious results. Comparing the initial loading times of Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of Mordor, we only detected an improvement of about one second from the PS4 to PS4 Pro, but Mafia III had more impressive results. The initial loading of Mafia III on the PS4 is 36 seconds, while on the PS4 Pro it was 27 seconds.
Apparently the improvements in loading times will be unpredictable, but it does seem to make some difference at least. Of course, these times can be greatly improved by changing either console's hard drive for faster ones, but that's a whole other kind of operation. Are these seconds important to you?
