How to transfer save files from PS4 to PS4 Pro

You have three options on how to do it.

If you are thinking of buying a PS4 Pro, but you already have an original PS4, you probably want to transfer the save files from the old console to the new one. Fortunately for you, Sony offers three options for this:

1) The most direct option involves connecting the two consoles through an ethernet cable. With this option you can copy all the content from one disc to the other, and this includes photos, videos, saves, profiles, and even games. It's not very practical, since you need to have both consoles connected at the same time, but it is the most complete method.

2) Another option is to use the online storage available to every PS Plus subscriber. You can transfer up to 10 GB of content from the original PS4 to the online storage, and then download all that content to the PS4 Pro. A warning though - you can only download save files for games already installed on the console, so make sure you only select files for the installed games, or will have to face repeated "this game is not installed" warning messages, which was annoying for us considering the amount of saves we had stored online.

3) If the above options above are not a possibility, you can also use a USB storage device. Simply copy the saves from the original PS4 to a USB drive, and then use the drive to copy onto the PS4 Pro. Simple and easy.
