At BlizzCon's opening ceremony Blizzard revealed that Overwatch will receive an Arcade mode and two new maps in the coming months.

Arcade replaces Brawl on the menu, as the latter now will be one of the modes within Arcade. When a player wins a match of a new game mode for the first time, they'll receive a loot box. After doing that you'll have to win three more matches of any game mode in the current Arcade rotation to earn another loot box. You can earn three loot boxes this way each week.

"But what are the modes?" you ask? Well, here they are:

• 1 versus 1 - Mystery Duel: the game randomly chooses a character for each player every round. First player to win five times is victorious.

• 3 versus 3 - Elimination: You can choose a new character each round. There are no respawns, and the team to win three times is victorious.

• 6 versus 6 - Mystery Heroes: the game randomly chooses a character for each player every round. Pretty much the same as "weekly brawl".

• 6 versus 6 - No Limits: want to stack your team with Bastions? Go nuts.

• Brawls: a rotation of Brawl game types. Blizzard shared some ideas for new brawls, including one that only consist of Reinhardts and Lucios,

Playing 1 versus 1 and 3 versus 3 on some of the maps seems kind of boring, doesn't it? Blizzard has a solution: a new map called Ecopoint: Antarctica, a map specifically made for Elimination and Mystery Duel.

Those of you wanting a new, large map will also get your fill as a map called Oasis will be playable in the Public Test Realm in December. Ecopoint: Antarctica and Arcade will come to the Public Test Realm next week.
