Sometimes we look to the gaming business analysts for some insight in what to expect, but ever so often we get intel we might have gotten on our own. This time it's Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter who suits up as 'Captain Obvious' in a recent interview.

The topics were Nintendo Switch and Red Dead Redemption 2. Both were announced last month, but Pachter doesn't see them having anything else in common in the future. As for a Switch port of Rockstar's game, Patcher says:

"I would say the chances of that are exceedingly poor [...] I'd be really surprised if they wasted their effort to port anything for Nintendo."

He then goes on to comment on how Nintendo has chosen a different path with their consoles:

"I just think that Nintendo has wandered too far away from the mainstream for most of the publishers, so you're just not getting mainstream games produced for Nintendo consoles- not ones made for other consoles, at any rate."

To Pachter's defence he was asked to comment on this, so the role of Captain Obvious were more or less forced upon him.

What big third party games are you hoping for on Nintendo's next console?
