With the recent release of Skyrim Special Edition (you can see our review here) some new and old remastered mods have been filtering their way across to the game, and a few of the mods have been finding their way across to console in particular, now that they support them for the first time.

Many of these mods require external textures and sounds, which means that the PlayStation 4 version will not be supporting all them, possibly due to file size. The latest mod to make its way to consoles is Falskaar, a well-respected PC mod that adds a large chunk of new content to the game.

Created by Alexander J. Velicky, the mod adds a new area to see characters, dungeons and quests not available in the base game, as well as 26 new quests. The mod also adds new Shouts for the player to learn and, according to the creator, contains an additional 20 hours of content.

Sony has still not stated why it will not be supporting some mods for Skyrim Special Edition, as there are 47 mods available for PS4, in comparison to 124 on Xbox One.

You can check out the trailer for Falskaar here. Which is your favourite Skyrim mod?
