EA want to build a long-term relationship with Respawn and the publisher wants the studio to keep making Titanfall games for "many, many years to come."
This comes via Electronic Arts CFO Blake Jorgensen, who said as much during a recent investors call:
"We are working with Respawn to build a franchise. This is something that we plan to be working with them on for many, many years to come, and there's huge opportunity inside of that franchise to continue to expand it."
This will be music to the ears of Respawn who've seen their shooter sequel struggle to repeat the successes of the first game (more on that here) despite being a cross-platform release this time around.
It's music to our ears too, as we thought Titanfall 2 was rather splendid, and you can read more about why in our recently published review.
