Swedish/Austrian game publisher THQ Nordic (formerly Nordic Games) are getting closing to a public listing on the Swedish stock exchange's First North list (for fast growing, smaller companies). The company that has grown steadily while picking up old IPs and franchises from all corners of the world (most recently the Novalogic catalogue of games), recently added THQ to the their name, perhaps a sign that some of the old THQ franchises will be revisited in a not so distant future.
The company is headed by Swedish entreprenuer Lars Wingefors (who appeared on the Swedish edition of Dragon's Den), who owns 70 percent of the company, and the initial offer will include 10 million new B-shares, as well as 10 million old B-shares. No date has been set for the introduction, but the as a whole company is valued at 1.2 billion SEK (£110 million), as reported by Swedish financial paper Dagens Industri.
We would not be surprised if an announcement of Darksiders 3 is in the near future, particularly given this imminent listing plans. But that's purely speculation on our part.
