The Uncharted film has gone back and forth for several years now, and as late as August we were told that Joe Carnahan would direct the film, but that has also changed now.
According to Deadline Sony Pictures has hired Shawn Levy to direct the film. Don't recognise the name? You've probably heard about one of his latest directorial jobs, the very popular Netflix series Stranger Things. He's also directed the Night at the Museum films, Date Night, Big Fat Liar and lots of other comedy-focused projects in the past. Does this sound like a good fit?
