It's been seven years since we first heard anything official about The Last Guardian, and now it has finally finished development.
It started when the game's producer Jun Yoshino tweeted that the game had gone gold yesterday, then quickly deleting the tweet. Obviously this created some confusion and speculation, but now it's official. PlayStation's Shuhei Yoshida confirms it in a tweet:
"The Last Guardian has gone gold! I'm so excited for you all to finally experience it ˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖"
This means that barring some freak accident in the manufacturing process (we wouldn't rule it out given the game's storied development) PS4 players will get their hands on it December 7.
