Microsoft's most recent financial report has indicated that its Surface line is doing quite well. In fact, it has seen a 38% jump compared to last year's total, with Surface revenue coming to $927 million US dollars in the last quarter, increasing from $672 million last year.

Apple's iPad business is far larger than the Surface still, but the growth is much slower. During their last quarter, iPad revenue was $4.9 billion, a growth from $4.4 billion last year. That growth of 11% is the first growth Apple's iPad business had in ten quarters.

This growth in the Surface business is linked to the Surface Pro 4 and the Surface Book, both of which have been advertised substantially, even having partnerships with the NFL. There may even be more Surface products on the way in the near future in time for Christmas. Do you think the Surface competes with the iPad?
