The news of the gaming world is filled with sixshooters and stylish hats this week, as Rockstar's teasing of what's believed to be Red Dead Redemption 2 has stolen most of the headlines.

It all started with Rockstar releasing a couple of images with the same art style as the ones linked to the previous game, and before long talk of an announcement trailer by this Thursday surfaced.

On top of that an interesting domain registration has now been discovered, in which Rockstar's mother company Take-Two Interactive has secured the rights to use the domain reddead.online.

This does not only strengthen the impression that a Red Dead Redemption 2 is in the works, but also that the game will have an online component much like the GTA Online portion of Grand Theft Auto V.

Taking the immense popularity of GTA Online into account, which actually made the developer abandon single player expansions in favour of more online content, this comes as no surprise.

Now announce the bloody game already, Rockstar! We're ready.

Cheers, VG247.
