Shunsuke Izumi had been really, really looking forward to the launch of PlayStation VR, so much so that he ended up making a 600-mile journey to Sony's store in Fukuoka so that he could pick up a day one pre-order for a PSVR headset after launch stock sold out in his local area.
The report goes that Izumi, a dedicated 25 year old Japanese gamer, took the flight (costing roughly the equivalent of £164) so that he could get his hands on PSVR in a timely fashion.
"I was lucky," Izumi said. "I believe it has a lot of potential to change my life." We sincerely hope that's the case.
