This week marks the release of PlayStation VR, once called Project Morpheus. We have shared our opinions on the peripheral, with both pros and cons on this link, and soon it'll be your turn to enter the world of virtual reality.

Sony has now updated its FAQ regarding Playstation VR with a couple of things that might have a negative effect on your gaming. It turns out PlayStation VR doesn't like reflections, like from a mirror or other shiny surfaces (or tables with glass, framed paintings with glass and so on) and might also have a problem with bright light. This is what Sony writes on this matter:

"Bright light sources directly behind the person using PS VR, lights coming in from windows and room lights, and lights reflecting off mirrors can interfere with the PS Camera and interrupt the tracking of the LED lights on the headset. It is recommended to eliminate bright light sources behind the PS VR player."

"Mirrors that are in the view of the PS Camera will confuse the tracking. Smaller shiny surfaces are generally fine, but if you have problems with tracking performance then these may be contributing to the issue."

If you are planning on purchasing a Playstation VR when launched on Thursday, it might be a good idea to sort this out to be able to play without any hassle right away. Will you be one of those people playing it?
