Microsoft in Japan has announced that they will officially lower the price of Xbox One by ¥5 000, starting Thursday, just in time for Battlefield 1. The new price will be ¥29 980 (around €260 / £235) for the Master Chief Collection Bundle and ¥34 980 for the The Division bundle with 1 TB harddrive.
There's also a bonus Xbox One campaign that runs parallell with the new lower price for even more discounts. The Battlefield series is fairly popular in Japan, but it remains to be seen if this will help Xbox One at all. The console has sold incredibly poorly thus far and Microsoft hasn't even launched the way more attractive S version of the console yet.
