If you are a gamer, you might remember the Christmas of 2014 with some mixed emotions. That was the year the hacker group Lizard Squad decided to ruin the fun for everyone by making most notably PSN, but also Xbox Live virtually unusable with DDoS attacks.

Fortunately, two members involved in the sabotage have now been arrested and charged with cyber crimes. The two alleged Lizard Squad members are both 19 years old one is from the Netherlands and the other from Maryland, USA.

It's a reminder that while these sort of things may seem mostly harmless yet very annoying (and a good reminder for companies to sure up their services), anyone involved runs the risk of some rather hefty penalties and a potential federal conviction will seriously limit the futures for these two young individuals.

Thanks, Polygon.
