Microsoft keeps getting requests for Lego Halo

Despite working with Mega Bloks in the past.

One of the most successful April fools jokes in the video game business is from 2008 when the American video game magazine EGM ran a rumor saying that Lego Halo was about to be revealed around new year's eve, and then waited until April 1st and showed mock-up pictures of what they claimed was Lego Halo.

The whole world of video games fell for it, and EGM got a good laugh, but now it seems like the tale of the game that never was might not be entirely over yet. In an interview the 343 Industries' head honcho Bonnie Ross says they want to expand Halo to younger audiences, and that they are getting more and more requests for Lego Halo:

"I would say that when we first started the franchise, the thought of doing, like, a Lego Halo game was not something that our core fans thought was interesting, whereas now we're getting requests for that."

Later in the interview, Ross also acknowledges:

"When you look at something like Star Wars, or others, you do want to re-enact your own stories if you're a kid. You do look at Legos, you do look at action figures when you tell your own stories. And it really makes our team think more broadly as they design, which I think is good."

Microsoft has traditionally worked with Mega Bloks regarding Halo previously, but this could change, of course. What do you think, would a Lego Halo be a good idea?
