Last month we were told that Bethesda had put their plans of getting mods to the PlayStation 4 version of Fallout 4 on ice, but now they've defrosted.

We've just been told that mod support is coming to PlayStation 4 for both The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition and Fallout 4. Skyrim will have mod support when it launches October 28, while it'll come to Fallout 4 shortly after. You will not be able to upload external assets with our PlayStation 4 mods, but we'll get to use any assets that come with the game, as most mods do. By creating a Bethesda.net account, you'll be able to browse and try mods right from within the game.

Thought that was the only good news for the day? Nope. Bethesda has also revealed that both games will take advantage of PS4 Pro's extra power. Skyrim will be rendered in native 4K, and you can see just how good it'll look in the screens below.

Fallout 4 will not be native 4K, but will be upscaled. However, it will get enhanced lighting and graphics features when the update launches. Hopefully this means a smoother frame-rate as well.

Is this too little - too late, or will you venture into the Wasteland and Skyrim once again?
