Final Fantasy Trading Card Game set for European release

Hugely popular card game from Japan arrives on these shores in October.

Square Enix have announced that the Final Fantasy Trading Card Game (which is very popular in Japan) will release in Europe on October 28.

The Final Fantasy Trading Card Game "FFTCG" is designed by former TCG Pro player Taro Kageyama and Shota Yasooka.

The first set, entitled "Opus 1", will feature 216 cards with iconic designs from highly acclaimed artists including Tetsuya Nomura, Yoshitaka Amano and Akihiko Yoshida, covering nearly 30 years of Final Fantasy.

Final Fantasy VII Remake, Dissidia and World of Final Fantasy will make their debut in Opus 1.

Each card in Opus will have a premium 'foil' version which is sure whet the appetite of collectors out there.

The European edition will come fully localised into English, French, German, Spanish and Italian and benefit from reworked visuals and improved balance.

The Final Fantasy Trading Card Game will be available on October 28 in major video game stores.
