While InXile leader Brian Fargo recently told us that their next venture could be something entirely new, it seems for now they're sticking to familiar territory as their next project is Wasteland 3 - sequel to the game that really changed the core of InXile Entertainment and put them on a path of crowdfunded throwback RPGs (Wasteland 2 was followed by Torment: Tides of Numenera and The Bard's Tale IV).

The new game that will launch simultaneously on PC and consoles (PS4 and Xbox One), unlike its predecessor, is set in a frozen Colorado. One key new feature is that the game will feature co-op where you can play together with a friend in either synchronous or asynchronous multiplayer - choosing paths and closing or opening up missions, areas and other things for the both of you.

The plan is to launch a crowdfunding campaign for Wasteland 3 on October 5th at 4:00pm (UK) and 17:00 (CET) over on Fig. The funding target is $2.75 million with $2.2 million in equity.
