There's been a lot of Gears of War 4 talk today, with both a brand new preview as well as a launch trailer emerging for the game. Now we have even more good news as it turns out one of the most beloved features from the Xbox versions of the games is coming to PC - local co-op.
This was revealed by Technical Director Mike Rayner in an interview, and he says it was quite the task to get it to work:
"From a development standpoint, it is quite difficult to support. We have to deal with multiple inputs, we have to deal with focus, we have to deal with UI placement. That extra work - especially when having to also consider all the resolutions and aspect ratios a PC can have - may be why most big games nowadays don't typically support split-screen co-op."
As you surely know, it is also possible to play Gears of War 4 co-op online as well between PC and Xbox One. Multiplayer also supports crossplay as long as it is in private matches. Other crossplay is not possible since keyboard and mouse versus Xbox One controller might be unfair.
Are you as excited as we are for the new Gears of War?
