Hideo Kojima and Yoji Shinkawa decided to share a few more details about Death Stranding during their Tokyo Game Show panel earlier today.
Earlier this week Kojima-san teased that the game will have a cooperative element, and today he outright confirmed it. He did, however, specify that the campaign will be fully playable in single-player as well.
They didn't want to comment about the recent rumours of Mads Mikkelsen co-starring in the game, but said that they're still doing casting.
When will Death Stranding launch? Kojima- and Shinkawa-san were in a surprisingly sharing mood, and revealed that it'll launch before the setting of the new Akira movie. This means that, if every goes according to plan, it'll launch before 2019.
Just as an aside; they also clarified that they have no involvement with Metal Gear Survive whatsoever.
