In a recent blog post developer Hello Games gives us a run down of what they've been up to for the last two-three weeks, and at the same time as saying there will be no improving, expanding, or building on the No Man's Sky universe before they're done fixing it.
The game has gotten four patches for PS4 and PC, and while the developers have been working on these a newly assembled community and support team has been taking and categorising feedback and making a prioritised to-do list for the devs to work through.
We've all been reading about the future of No Man's Sky, and Hello Games have promised exciting things to come to the (almost) infinite game. In the aforementioned blog post, however, they ironically write:
"What matters now, as always, is what we do rather than what we say".
It's ironic because a lot of things were said before the game's launch that didn't end up in the launch build. Now their tactic has changed to them saying very little, and doing more instead. Following that statement, Hello Games promised to fix the remaining issues before the small team start working on the free updates that will build on the game's foundation:
"Our focus is first on resolving any issues people have with the game as it is, then on future free updates which will improve, expand and build on the No Man's Sky universe."
